Again with the hand knowledge! We work on trying to “read the tea leaves” of our opponent’s actions to figure out what he might have in his hand, and try to play against that information. We also pay careful attention to what scoring cards are coming up, and “play nonchalantly” about an unfavorable scoring card we’re holding, trying to give our opponent no clues about our own hand before we make our move. There is also discussion of two contrasting play styles – whether one emphasizes victory points at hand or longterm board position. Finally, our opponent makes some really sharp moves on turn 6 that are worth analysis.
