Sneak Peeks at the Twilight Struggle Collector’s Edition

Hi everyone!

We are now under a month away from shipping the Twilight Struggle Collector’s Edition to our Kickstarter backers.  I had an advance copy of the CE sent to me so I could take some pictures to give you guys a peek at it in advance.

My daughter Rachel and I spent this morning sleeving cards and stickering the reminder blocks, then she took a bunch of pictures which we put into a couple of collages for you guys to enjoy! Hopefully, for you KS backers, this will give you a taste of what you’ll be getting when we ship the Collector’s Editions next month.

For those of you who didn’t back the Kickstarter CE but want a copy, we’ll be making an announcement late this month (once we have them in the warehouse and know exactly how many we have left to sell) with the details of when we will make any additional Collector’s Editions we have (after shipping the Kickstarter rewards) available for sale.

In the meantime, I hope you enjoy these sneak peeks!

  1. Omigosh, Gene, this looks absolutely scrumptious. A beautiful production. Congrats all around.
As a solitaire gamer, though, I’m looking forward to the iPad edition.

  2. It looks really great, and I am looking forward to getting my copy. I am a bit concerned however; are the influence markers not double sided (to indicate control)? That seems like a glaring omission from a gameplay standpoint. I understand that’s what the cubes are for (maybe?) but that is much fiddlier than just flipping a marker.

    • Hi Adam! I understand on the influence marker point about fiddliness. It was about the only way we could afford to do the blocks without seriously raising the price. The blocks ARE double-sided, but with 1/2, 3/4, etc on them. That was our original approach with the early printings of the game and it worked fine. We would have loved to do the same number on the back side as it is indeed a little easier, but the cost of twice as many blocks in the game was just not doable within the budget.

  3. What’s the best way to make sure I get notified when you post the availability of collector’s edition remaining copies?
