  1. Highly interested in the potential of a Western Front game in the Glory system, as well as an integration of Pursuit and Illusions. I remember one edition of the map had oil in Ploesti, will the new map re-add that?

Will this be coming up on P500? Or will there be an update kit option for those of us who have the 1st edition?

    Changes look good though!

  3. Oil wells were features of the game map in “Pursuit of Glory”. They’re not especially relevant to “Illusions of Glory”, which relies on VP spaces.

Can’t wait to try it! If the upgrade kit could be made that would be great. The modification of the Italian map would seem to suggest, as you suggested, the possibility of a Western Front… are you working on it? Thank you

Love the game, but it has one GLARING error that is totally ahistorical and a balance killer. The Brusilov Offensive card is far too powerful. It lasts the whole turn (3 months) and is effective against German trenches. This has nothing to do with History or reality. That the Brusilov Offensive was maintained for about two weeks is amazing in itself. Three months is pure fantasy. Also, I doubt very seriously if the Russians could have been as successful against the Germans as they were against the Austro-Hungarians. It wrecked play balance and playability every time, so we had to house rule it into line. We made it so it applied only to activation when played and did not effect any space with Germans. (Which, by the way, is how it is implemented in _Paths of Glory_.) Please fix the card and save your game.

It’s generally acknowledged that the Brusilov Offensive was from June 4, 1916 to August 10, 1916 (more than two months), and that engagements related to the offensive continued into September 1916. So, the duration of the Brusilov Offensive card is reasonable. The combat effects of the card will be revisited since history shows that Austro-Hungarian units were mauled and German units did not suffer the same fate.

It all seems very promising. The new cards and changes to the board look great.
Still not sure that true Russian offensive potential was maintained for ten weeks, but it’s not my game. Will buy the upgrade.
